Laboratory instruments - General

At Biovation Park there is a large number of scientific instruments covering most needs within Chemistry, Pharmacy & Biology, including Pharmacology, Toxicology and Pathology. These comprise all from simple equipment to complex robotic systems i.e. for "high throughput screening".

NMR

At Biovation Park we have an open access Bruker 500 MHz NMR (Nuclear Magnetic Resonance) instrument equipped with a TCI CryoProbe. Detectable nuclei’s are 1H, 2H, 13C, 15N with the current setup. Detection of other nuclei’s might be accessible upon request. NMR specialist and technical support is also available on site.
NMR spectroscopy is most frequently used by chemists and biochemists to investigate the properties of organic substances, although it is applicable to any kind of sample that contains nuclei possessing spin. Suitable samples range from small compounds analyzed with 1-dimensional proton or carbon-13 NMR spectroscopy to large proteins or nucleic acids using 3 or 4-dimensional techniques.
